Join us at our regional meeting in November, where we will focus on life in war-torn regions and hear stories from award winning Danish filmmaker Nagieb Khaja and Doctors Without Borders who have first-hand experiences.
This month’s meeting will be arranged as a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders. So come by, have some tapas, and spend all your hard-earned money at the honesty bar.
The Danish journalist, Nagieb Khaja, is a veteran war correspondent. He has visited multiple war zones reporting on primarily Afghanistan and Syria. He is most famous for his articles and documentaries in relation to the Afghan war.
In 2008 he was kidnapped in Afghanistan. Luckily he managed to escape after a week in captivity. This year he has made a new documentary about the Syrian war where he is reporting from inside of Syria as one of the few Western journalists.
We will also be joined by Doctors Without Borders. Doctors Without Borders is an organisation providing humanitarian aid in war-torn regions. They will tell us about how it is to be stationed in a war zone and what drives them to risk their own life to save others.
All proceeds from the evening will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.
